Joseph “J” Savino is the Chairman of Bronx County.  He is one of the Partners of the prestigious law firm FagaSavino LLP.

Recently, the New York Post and the Daily News ran a group of great articles exposing current local politicians and their corrupt bookkeeping stealing from the very people they are to be serving as well as the former politicians who after being imprisoned for their corrupt ways are being touted by the old neighborhood as if they never were convicted and are still receiving a ridiculous pensions from we the taxpayers.  All of these people are a disgrace to The Bronx and the City of New York.  How dare they even try to look us in the eye and say they are one of us?! Ladies and Gentlemen the time to act is now - Every day it is getting harder and harder for you and I to put bread on the table, clothes on our kids’ backs and pay our increased taxes on time. It is time to vote the elected out of office - they are not doing their job - the job we gave them; entrusted  to them - they let us down.  We need to write our Councilman, Assemblyman and State Senator and ask them to work to repeal the pensions of elected officials who have been found guilty of committing a crime.  We would save hundreds of thousands of dollars and perhaps it would act as deterrent to try to humiliate the office you were elected to just because of personal greed.

On a lighter note, We at County are so happy that we actually had a candidates night - it brought back memories of the days when they were held at Lehman High School and My Dad would take me to watch.  Last month’s weren’t that large but hopefully they will one day - membership is up 10% and I am quite please with our slate - All are fine candidates and We defiantly have many chances.  But we will need your help - please call us if you would like to volunteer for the campaigns - it would be great to have you as part of our team.
